100 lashes
- There was one greedy door keeper.
- He used to allow everyone into the palace,
- He wanted them to give him half of what they received from the king.
- Every one agreed and gave him.
- A clever and wise man wanted to teach him a lesson.
- He also went to the palace.
- The king gave him 100 gold coins.
- The wise man asked the king to give him 100 lashes instead.
- The king told the minister to give him what he wanted.
- When the 50 lashes were given, the wise man asked them to stop.
- Then they called the door -keeper and gave him 50 lashes.
- They came to know his insincerity.
- They sent him away and they gave the wise man 150 gold coins.
- Know now "" Insincerity does not always bring rewards."
The wise ant & lazy grass-hopper
- These two were good friends.
- The grass-hopper was enjoying the summer singing and dancing making merry.
- The ant worked very hard and little by little he collected his food and stored it.
- Even though he advised the grass-hopper ,it was in vain.
- Winter set in.The ground was full of snow.
- The grass-hopper was very hungry.
- It asked the ant to give him some food.
- Ant gave a little and he told him what mistake did he do.
- It told the G.H. "work while you work and play while you play."
- And also told the proverb" Make hay while the sun shines."
